Saturday 01/03/2025: As the then-current car wasn’t traded-in, we travelled to Cambridge by taxi, arriving at 07:40
Although bitterly cold, it was – as expected – a beautiful morning
We’d previously arranged to be dropped at Girton East roundabout, a little over six miles from the showroom, so that we could enjoy walking to the showroom …
… past Girton College …
… and the recently opened and very impressive new Cavendish Laboratory …
(as you can tell from the improved visibility, this and the next image of the laboratory were taken on another day)
After breakfast in the city centre, we walked the remaining three miles to the showroom
I’d previously requested that none of the interior and exterior protection be removed …
… and after checking that the exterior protection was securely attached we drove the new car home
That afternoon, the exterior protective bonnet cover and driver’s door bumper were removed and the car washed, dried, machine polished then washed again before being stored in the garage overnight
The following day while still under cover, it was cleaned with Gtechniq Panel Wipe prior to applying Crystal Serum Light and Exo paint protection
